• Adults players
• Spectators and parents/carers
• Coaches, team managers and club officials
• Match officials

The codes of conduct encourage people to behave by dealing with the fairly and consistently with anyone who breaks 'their' Code.

What are governing Bodies?
A sport governing body is a sports organization that has a structure of doing it. Sport governing bodies come in various forms, and have a variety of regulatory functions.
What are the basic roles for the FA?
The Football Association is responsible for ensuring that the international Laws of the Game are applied on the field, and that the rules and regulations concerned with running football in England are observed by officials, clubs and players off the pitch as well as on it.

AO1 DCMS - Gambling regulation

The Gambling Act 2005 regulates commercial gambling in Great Britain, including arcades, betting, bingo, casinos, gaming machines, society lotteries and remote gambling operations based in the UK. It has three principle objectives:

• keeping gambling crime free
• making sure that gambling is fair and open
• protecting children and vulnerable adults

Gambling must remains fair and regulated because you would have a high level of betting scandal and the betting industry will collapse.

An example of some one who have broken a gambling  law would be Chicago White Sox faced the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series. This series would go down as one of the biggest sports scandals of all time. As the story goes, professional gambler Joseph Sullivan paid eight members of the White Sox around 10,000 dollars each to fix the World Series. The players involved were Oscar Felsch, Arnold Gandil, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Fred McMullin, Charles Risberg, George Weaver, and Claude Williams. All of these players have been banned for life this was in 1919.



 

AO1 DCMS - Sport England

Sports England have set five targets which will see us deliver these outcomes the first outcomes is grow, sports England wants one million people taking part in more sports and they want more children and young people taking part in five hours of PE and sport a week these target account for 15% of our investment.

The second outcome is sustain, sports England want more people satisfied with their sporting experience also want 25% fewer 16-18 year olds dropping out of at least nine sports - badminton. basketball, football, hockey, gymnastics, netball, rugby league, rugby union tennis, these targets account for 60% of our investment.

Sport England intend to achieve there main five target by invest expertise, resources and both government and Lottery money into community sport and by having an £480 million is invested directly through 46 national governing bodies of sport. And there are five open funding streams other organisations can apply to. Also Sport England work with a lot of organisations such as:

AO1 DCMS - School Sport

DCMS is trying to do to engage children to be involved in sport by doing this package of events designed around supporting schools to provide more opportunities for their pupils to compete in sport through a vibrant programme of regular intra- and inter-school competitions. These competitions will lead to the best performing school teams featuring at county or city level Festivals of Sport, with the most talented young sports people having the chance to represent their schools in a high-profile national event – the first of which will be held in and around the Olympic park in 2012, In my veiw this is a great event because it enviable everyone to have a go at there most talented sports and have a chance to go to a level young people would love to take part in. 

Health Secretary Andrew Lansley saids "It helps in the drive against child obesity and competitive school sport offers a wide range of benefits like better self esteem, confidence and social skills. That is why we have got behind the School Games by providing up to £20 million of funding over the next two years.

DCMS and sports England really want a increase of the number of young leaders and volunteers, and the Youth Sport Trust to build capacity in schools - set against the context of increasing competitive sporting opportunities. 

AO1 DCMS - Places, People, Play

Places, People, Play

Places People Play is a £135m initiative that will bring the inspiration and magic of a home Olympic Games and Paralympic Games into the heart of local communities from this I can clearly see that the government is try to get the people of England to play the Olympic sports instead of watch it on the TV. The Government also want England to be a healthier country and also want to provide the facilities to play sports.

For iconic faclilties Sport England’s thinks investment will be in large capital grants - on average, awards between £500,000 - £1,500,000 will be made.There are different funding for different area such as iconic facilities have £30 million of capital National Lottery funding, plus partnership funding, over three £10 million funding rounds 2011 to 2014.

For protecting playing fields Sport England thinks right across the country with this investment, we are proposing to make grants of between £20,000 - £50,000 Will be make. Protecting playing fields have £10m National Lottery plus partnership funding over five £2 million funding rounds, with two in 2011/12, two in 2012/13 and one in 2013/14.

Places, people, play work alongside the lottery and the British Olympic Association, the British Paralympic Association and with the support of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games.

• Jeremy Hunt hails economic legacy from 2012 Games as £1.8 billion retail gateway to Olympic park officially opens.
• UK Sport is looking for athletes with raw talent to develop into future medalists.
• Army, Royal Navy and RAF personnel urged to sign up to see the Games.
• National Lottery fund is part of the Places People Play legacy programme.

 What is the DCMS roles?
The Government Olympic Executive (GOE), which is part of the DCMS, oversees the entire London 2012 project.

We supervise £9.3 billion of public sector funding which comes from a variety of sources including central Government, London authorities and the National Lottery. We produce Quarterly Economic Reports and Annual Reports which provide a full financial update on our progress.
We will ensure that the Games are delivered on time, on budget and for the benefit of the whole country.
